After arriving in Tirana, we can start up by visiting some of its most popular tourist spots.
Tirana has been populated since Paleolithic times, dating back 10,000 to 30,000 years ago.
Tirana became Albania’s capital city in 1920 and is mostly surrounded by hills, with Dajti Mountain on the east and a slight valley opening on the north-west overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance.
The centre of Tirana was the project of Florestano Di Fausto and Armando Brasini, well known architects of the Benito Mussolini period in Italy.
Tirana has a rich mosaic of historic land natural landmarks. The town and surrounding area is home to the following natural and historical sites, which we are
going to visit :
Tirana Castle-the historical core of the capital around Murat Toptani Street
Clock Tower of Tirana and the nearby Tirana Ethnography and Clock Towers Museum
Tabak Bridge
After visiting the most important tourist sites in Tirana, we turn back to Durresi city. Before going to the Harbor, there we can visit some old and historic sites, such as the Venetian Tower, the amphitheater and the coastal area near the harbor.
